Ready to get your toddler communicating? Communication includes language understanding and verbal expression. Toddler Talk & Play will inspire your little one’s communication skills through, engaging activities that help them understand new concepts & words as well as learn to say them. Parents and caregivers will learn simple yet powerful strategies for helping their child communicate during play. Each class is built around a unique theme that includes circle time with Miss Wendy and her bear leading high energy songs, finger plays, movement and games to keep your toddler learning and moving. Come talk and play with your child!
Wendy Auffant has always been passionate about working with children and parents around communication and development. She received a Bachelors degree from Michigan State University in Audiology and Speech Science and then went on to attend Saint Xavier University for a Masters degree in Speech Pathology. After graduation, she worked full time for the Chicago Public Schools as a Speech Language Pathologist. Two babies later, she has been able to unite her personal experiences as a parent with her professional work as a speech therapist and offer infant development, baby sign language and literacy classes designed to enhance each child’s emerging talents and meet parent expectations. She is passionate about providing a fun environment for parents and their children to learn together.
